Vote Vote Vote!

It’s voting season again in NYC and although some people may come across this post, roll their eyes and be on some “f*** politics” type of time; which I don’t blame you at all for…🤷🏾‍♀️

BUT it’ll be remiss of me to not remind everyone reading this, we’re no longer children and a lot of us millennials are getting over the introduction of the “adulting” hump. We’re starting to walk in the path of adulthood which embodies more than paying bills, taking care of the household and working, it also includes voting and being a part of the political process of our said state.

Politics isn’t interesting for a lot of people but it is important for everyone’s livelihoods and well being, if we want better lives we have to be a part of the process that can benefit us that. No, it won’t be easy at all, with 8.4 million people living in New York City and each person having a different perspective on what will make their lives better; we the people have to become a collective voice and a collective understanding, hence the voting process. 😉

There are plenty of political candidates and public sectors to vote on every four years and as we continue to grow and lay the paths for the next generations to come. We have to stay in tune and informed regardless if we actually hate politics or feel it’s not interesting; because what matter is its importance to our lives.

Voting is a great thing to do in my opinion. I believe voting keeps people grounded to their morals and beliefs and it’s a great way to find your voice in this very chaotic world.
